He skilfully exploited the slope of the site to create inclined planes that make up a large square brightened up by orange trees, gutters and water features, where all the facilities form a continuous and structuring built front. Focused on user comfort, the architectural approach is coupled with a questioning of light. This is demonstrated by the central interior patio of the restaurant and the covered atrium (served by a spiral ramp articulated around a pool, which deliberately cites Wright’s model at the Guggenheim in New York) created at the heart of the media library – both of which encourage the distribution of generous natural light in the spaces.
