As the sports hall is situated below Fourqueux’s city houses, the architectural design sought to minimise the impact of its massing by placing a level of changing rooms, topped with a green roof, at the front. At the rear, the mass of the sports halls is softened by a sloping roof clad in zinc. The gymnasium’s framework is timber. The cladding is timber. The small dojo is distinctive for its openwork timber cladding on the façade and roof. The roof of the large halls is zinc. All the halls are open to the north at the top. Additional natural light is provided by skylights in the roof.
